In
the advanced Paper Tole class DCCrafts will
teach you the techniques of Feathering & Furring.
You
will complete 2 pictures - one feathered and
one furred. The
technique of feathering/furring paper tole
is very exciting and satisfying
and uses scissors and a blade. [The
blade is used to cut out the 'main' pieces
only.]
This
technique makes birds look like they are
ready to fly and animals like you want to stroke
them. You can also use this technique
for hair, fringes of tablecloths or shawls,
eyelashes, stamen, thistles, grass, birds'
nests and horses' manes etc.
Each student in the class
uses the same pictures and these pictures
[shown right] use the
techniques
required to learn 'feathering/furring' advanced Paper Tole.
It is also a pre-requisite
that you have completed a DCCRAFT'S
Beginners Paper Tole class as no 'basic' techniques
will be taught in this class.
The Starter Kit acquired in the Beginners Class will
be also be needed for this class [if you have used up
some of the necessary components you can purchase these
separately from DCCrafts
